Description
Lithium niobate LiNbO3 (LN) single crystals have the unique set of acoustooptic, piezoelectric, electrooptic, nonlinear and other characteristics which make them suitable to use in various fields of electronic engineering. This work is devoted to manufacturing of large LN single crystals and to measuring their optical homogeneity, thermo- and radiation-induced changes of optical properties,as well as to the production of polarization prisms and optical blocks from the LN crystals. 19 refs, 7 figs, 1 tab
