Momentum transfer cross-sections in e--O3 collisions
Description
Rotational excitation of ozone molecules by collisions of slow electrons (up to 0.1 eV) is considered. Taking into account the asymmetric top structure of O3, the inelastic momentum transfer cross-sections are calculated with the dominant dipole interaction. The elastic momentum transfer cross-sections are also calculated in a cut-off model. Both these cross-sections are of the order 10-14 cm2 up to 0.1 eV. (author)
