A Study on the growth of HgIsup(2) single crystals and the HgIsup(2) detector fabrication for soft *g-ray
Description
This study is to grow mercuric iodide single crystals by means of static evaporation after appropriate purification of available grade HgIsup(2) power by repeated sublimation, and to develop the most practical method for HgIsub(2) detection fabrication. In consequence, the detector with high detection efficience and moderate energy resolutions, was proved to be a very good set for the *g-ray spectroscopy at the room temperature. (Author)
