Fast decay of 4p and 4s core holes in Sb4 clusters

Description
The 4s and 4p photoelectron spectra of a vapour phase Sb4 antimony cluster have been recorded using synchrotron radiation excitation. Relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock calculations have been used to predict the spectral features. The strongly different lifetime widths of the two energetically close-lying orbitals have been observed and the existing fast Auger channels are modelled.
