Description

Investigations are carried out on the temperature dependence of the Knight shift the constants of quadrupole interaction, times of spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxations for 51V nuclei, as well as of magnetic susceptibility in the V3Si single crystal in the normal state. All the magnitudes measured, except for the spin-spin relaxation time, reveal peculiarities near the temperature of the structural phase trnsformation Tsub(m)=21 K. When approaching tsub(m) over, a pre-transformational broadening of quadrupole satellites was observed from above, which was related to static lattice destortions in proximity to the defects. From the experimental data, the hyperfine magnetic fields on 51V nuclei and contributions of different symmetry wave functions to the density of electronic states in the Fermi level are determined. The main contribution to the state density in the Fermi level is made by the states of π-symmetry
