New chiral complexes of Ru(III) with mixed 1,3-diketonate ligands
Description
In the reactions of Δ(+)Ru(acac)3 with HClO4, HBF4 and HPF6 in acetonitrile the chiral cationic ruthenium complexes were obtained: Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(MeCN)2]ClO4, Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(MeCN)2]BF4 and Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(MeCN)2]PF6, respectively. In turn, the chiral mixed 1,3-diketonate complexes: Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(hfacac)] and Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(dbm)] were prepared in the reactions of Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(MeCN)2]PF6 or Δ(+)[Ru(acac)2(MeCN)2]BF4 with Hhfacac or Hdbm in the presence of KHCO3. The successive exchanges of ligands which take place during the syntheses of all the complexes were observed to occur with full retention of configuration. (author). 11 refs
