Design of reactor simulation tank of control system strand test of 1 KW research reactor

Description

A design of reactor simulation tank of control system strand test of research reactor to power IKW has been perfornred. Calculations on the basis of the design are the cooling water jlow rate of 431 liters / h with cooling exit water temperature of 42°C and enter water temperature 40 Dc. The tank reactor core simulation research is made using AINSI 304 stainless steel plate material thickness of 3 mm, the volume of cooling water 862 liter, inside diameter (in) 950 mm, outer diameter (Do) 956 mm, high tank (T) 1582 mm, and the radius of the tank lid (R) 0.8 D. The tank insulation materials using silica board 50 mm thick with 0.2 mm aluminum plate jacket. From the calculation, the tank is very safe to be llsed against the possibility of breaking up, split and broken because the thickness of stainless steel plate is 304 (I) in which 3 mm> thickness plate required in order not to break up (tp) 0.248 mm; not to splil (tb) 0.155 mm and not to rupture (tu) 0.745 mm. Similarly from the calculation results, silica insulation board is 50 mm thick and 0.2 mm thick aluminum jackel thai heat loss is lost around 0.56%, then the insulator types of silica board are very good used for thermal insulation on the tank simulated reactor core strand test research reactor control system.
