This third volume of the history of uranium mining makes a status of the most recent researches about the distribution of uranium deposits in the Earth's crust and of the different types of accumulations of economical interest. Uranium prospecting started around 1940 and became a worldwide activity. However, the deposits that could be exploited and valorized have revealed to be rare. (J.S.)
