Description
We report results of a Raman scattering study of superconducting YNi2B2C with Tc=15.2 K. A redistribution of low-frequency light scattering intensity is observed in the temperature range 10--200 K. It is interpreted in terms of electron-hole excitations and their scattering due to impurities and phonons. The scattering rate is found to decrease linearly with temperature
