Evaluation of sulfate-oxalate deposition solution with new electrodeposition system
Description
The presented paper defined parameters of electrodeposition and their relationships for selected alpha-emitting radionuclides to be used as an optional method for sample mounting for subsequent measurement by solid-state alpha spectrometry. The key parameters such as volume and pH of electrolyte, electrode distance, current density, plating time, and annealing temperature were investigated in connection with the new custom-made electrodeposition system. The chemical yield of this method was almost quantitative for all selected radionuclides, namely 232U, 238Pu, 241Am, 243Am, and 244Cm. (author)
