Description

The analysis of specific features of lattice structural state in metastable titanium and zirconium alloys as well as electronic structure of ω-phase allows one to suggest a hypothesis about dimensional quantization of electron spectrum in fine-dispersed particles of ω-phase. The main reasons of high-resistivity state formation may be explained through analysis of 'external' electron scattering by ω-phase particles. Resistive and structural anomalies in dilute alloy may be cleared up assuming formation of small quasicrystalline clusters. 17 refs., 1 fig
