A text and a Power Point presentation report and comment the works performed in the modelling of heat transfers in arc plasmas, with application to TIG welding (modelling of the electric arc, comparison between modelling and experiments), the modelling of fluid flows in liquid metal alloys with application to TIG welding in austenitic stainless steels, and the modelling of hot cracking of nickel-base alloys with application to TIG welding (with notably the determination of critical strain)
