Study of phase equilibria in the Rh-Co-S and Ru-Co-S systems

Phase equilibria in Rh-Co-S, Ru-Co-S systems are investigated using DTA, microscopic, X-ray phase, X-ray spectral methods and measuring the microhardness of separate phases. A state diagram in Rh-Co-S system is plotted in the region of Co-Co1-xS-Rh17S15-Rh quadrangle. The feature of this system consists in the presence of two points of four-phase equilibrium and a series of double eutectics. In rhodium sulfide the cobalt content varies within 8-14 mas.% limits, and in cobalt sulfides rhodium is present in the amount of 9-15 mas.%. 6 refs., 3 figs., 3 refs
