The effect of orientation on the radiation induced oxidation of polypropylene
- 1. Vsesoyuznyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Meditsinskikh Polimerov, Moscow (USSR)
Description
A study was made on the effect of orientation on the oxidative degradation of polypropylene under influence of γ-radiation. The draw ratio lambda (changed between 1 and 4) appeared to affect the chain and nonchain processes during radio-oxidation of polypropylene. There is close relationship between molecular structure of oriented specimens and their oxidation under γ-irradiation. (author)
