LVR-15 reactor core modelling for severe accident analyses by the MELCOR code

Description

The report is structured as follows: (i) Description of the possibility of severe accident initiation and development at the LVR-15 reactor, assessment of relevant phenomena, processes and events that can occur within the reactor core; (ii) Principles and method of reactor code modelling in the MELCOR code; (iii) Analysis of feasibility of LVR-15 core modelling by MELCOR taking into account all limitations and deviations determined by the overall reactor concept, reactor core design, materials used, and safety assurance patterns; (iv) Description of a proposal for an reactor core model based on the use and processing of available input data; (v) testing the model by calculation of the semi-equilibrium reactor mode.
