Wind power makes ita mark in Europe

The author argues for a rapid expansion of the use of wind power in Europe as its true cost makes it a very attractive option. Fossil-fuel generated power produces problems such as air pollution, health problems, damage to building and environmental damage from oil spills. Each of these consequences of fossil-fuel use requires remedying at considerable cost. As wind generated power causes none of these problems, the slightly high cost of the electricity per unit is more than compensated for by its lack of environmental damage. (UK)
