The yield of excited Eu(3+) upon degradation of adamantylidene-adamantane-1,2-dioxetane in its complex with Eu(fod)3

Description
Using the method of activated chemiluminescence at thermal degradation of adamantylidene-adamantane-1,2-dioxetane photophysical properties of triplet-excited adamantanone are studied: yield of phosphorescence and real life time in o-xylene at 65 deg. The yield of chemiluminescence in nonequilibrium complex of adamantanone with Eu(fod)3 at decomposition of dioxetane in complex with Eu(fod)-3 is estimated. It is found to be less than the yield of triplets at dioxetane thermolysis. The difference in yields is explained by decrease of activation energy of dioxetane thermal degradation in complex.
