Investigation of hollow-cathodes glow discharge
Description
The glow discharge in systems with plane cathode, hollow-cathode and block of interconnected hollow-cathodes was investigated comparatively. All experiments are realized on the basis of modernized industrial plant 'VUP-5' in the atmosphere of argon at the pressure 10-1 - 10-2 Torr. For the purpose of life time increase, aluminium hollow-cathodes were processed previously by the discharge in the atmosphere of oxygen to obtain protective oxide film with variable thickness.
