Numerical simulations for the study of a cosmic γ-ray imagery experiment

Description
Basic principles of imagery are reviewed and their applications to a γ-ray imagery device are explained. This device is based on a coded mask associated with a detector which is sensitive to the position of interaction of the γ-ray photons. A group of simulation programs is described. These programs are for use in evaluating the performance of such an experiment the sensitivity, the angular resolution, and that for different configurations. The influence of an inhomogeneous background noise on the detector has also been studied

Dans un premier chapitre, sont rappeles les principes de base de l'Imagerie, et explicite leurs applications a un dispositif d'imagerie γ reposant sur un masque code associe a un detecteur sensible a la position de l'interaction des photons γ. Dans un deuxieme chapitre est elabore un ensemble de programmes de simulation, destines a evaluer les performances d'une telle experience, la sensibilite, la resolution angulaire et ceci pour differentes configurations.
