Description
The properties of a self-contained TOF neutron spectrometer with two scintillators utilizing biparametrical data processing are discussed. The presented method for the calculation of the spectrometer response based on the evaluation of a multidimensional integral is suitable for arbitrary detector shapes. A comparison of the calculated and experimental responses for 14 MeV neutrons is given. Biparametrical data processing enables a simple random background subtraction. (orig.)
