The melting of the Southern polar cap of the Mars during great opposition 2003

Description

The Martian Southern polar cap sizes during its melting process were measured from CCD-images recorded at the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and from other observation during May-December 2003. The mean velocity of the polar cap boundary movement at most active melting have been found as 13-14 km per day. (author)
