Description
This book is a translation and update of ''Radiobiologie'' published in 1986. The particular aim is to provide information for trainees in radiology, radiation oncology and nuclear medicine, and to scientists concerned with cancer or radiation. The chapters begin with an introduction to radiation physics and chemistry, move on to examine the effects of radiation at molecular and cellular level and then describe the effects on normal tissues and tumours. Finally the effects of total body irradiation both clinical and accidental are discussed. (author)
