Controlled thermonuclear fusion power apparatus and method

Description

A fusion power device is claimed. It comprises: (a) a fusion power core of the tokamak reactor type, containing: a toroidal magnetic field generating means for confining a fusible plasma within a toroidal region, and a poloidal magnetic field generating means for ohmically heating the plamsa; (b) a blanket means surrounding a substantial portion of the fusion power core; (c) a means for feeding a fusible fuel into the toroidal region for forming the plasma; (d) the fusion power core separable from the blanket means for replacement of the fusion power core by other fusion power core, and (e) a fluid transport means connected to at least one of the fusion power core and blanket means for extracting thermal energy
