Contract research at Harwell

A report is presented on the metallurgical contract research facilities and services on offer from AERE Harwell against the background of the pioneering work in the nuclear field. The areas of technical expertise are reviewed and the overall capability available to boost industrial performance is illustrated by reference to a range of case studies. (author)
