State of structural dynamic design of piping systems in nuclear power plants

  • 1. Kraftwerk Union A.G., Offenbach am Main (Germany, F.R.)

Description

Piping systems in nuclear power plants are designed to withstand the effects of external loads due to seismic events and the effects of internal loads due to operating transients like turbine trip or the postulated loss of coolant accident. The general way to design piping systems against external and internal loads is demonstrated on typical safety relevant piping systems of a KWU nuclear reactor. (U.K.)
