European elections: what future for Europe's ecological transition?

  • 1. Strategic Perspectives, c/o Meliore Foundation - FUP, Rue aux Laines 70, 1000 Brussels (Belgium)

Description

Following the European elections, what kind of coalition will be formed for the next term? What will become the ecological transition, and in particular the Green Pact, within the European Union? For the author of this paper, while the European People's Party has the most seats, a coalition still needs to be formed to form a majority, against a backdrop where the rise of the extreme right across Europe could undermine many public policies and, in particular, lead to the unravelling of the Green Pact.
