Description

The specific heat of the compounds PrNi5-xCux for temperature range (0.4-325)K and at magnetic fields 0 and 3T has been studied. No maximum was found at the Curie temperature TC=2K for PrNi4.3Cu0.7. Smoothing of the initial low-temperature Schottky anomaly and appearance of a new rather wide and high one at higher temperatures in the substituted alloys testify about crystal field disorder due to compositional randomization
