Share of SKODA koncern in utilization of nuclear energy in Czechoslovakia

Description

The linkage is described between the production programme of the SKODA Plzen concern and the Czechoslovak nuclear programme. Knowledge gained in the operation of the first experimental nuclear power plant the A-1 was used for further cooperation with the USSR in this field. The SKODA concern mainly specializes in the manufacture of reactor pressure vessels. The manufacture of equipment for nuclear power plants is based on cooperation between the CMEA countries. (E.S.)
