Final state interaction in the nuclear reaction 7Li(d,αα)n
Description
In a kinematically complete experiment, which by careful planning was designed for high accuracy and high sensitivity with respect to the problem to be studied, the nuclear reaction 7Li(d,αα)n was investigated in order to find a step decay model of the Schaefer model type. The evaluation showed that it is possible to describe the experimental spectra in a very good to satisfying manner using only six model amplitudes. This description is shown to be very sensitive with respect to the parity of the compound states involved, but insensitive with respect to the greater part of the compound spins. It is still definitely necessary to account for step decay via 5He in the ground and first excited stated, the contribution of the first excited state having been suggested in literature until now, but having not been proved without doubt. In einem kinematisch vollstaendigen Experiment, das durch entsprechende Planung auf hohe Genauigkeit und hohe Empfindlichkeit fuer das zu untersuchende Problem ausgelegt war, wurde die Kernreaktion 7Li(d,αα)n untersucht, um ein Stufenzerfallsmodell nach der Art des Schaefer-Modells zu testen. Die Auswertung ergab, dass es moeglich ist, mit nur sechs Modellamplituden die experimentellen Spektren befriedigend bis sehr gut zu beschreiben. Dabei erweist sich diese Beschreibung hinsichtlich der Daten der beteiligten Compoundzustaende als sehr empfindlich auf deren Paritaet, jedoch als unempfindlich gegenueber dem Grossteil der Compound-spins. Es ist weiterhin eindeutig unerlaesslich, Stufenzerfall ueber 5He im Grund- und ersten angeregten Zustand zu beruecksichtigen, wobei die Beteiligung des ersten angeregten Zustands in der Literatur bislang nur vermutet, aber nicht eindeutig bewiesen werden konnte.
