Description

This paper demonstrates by means of a convoy plant how the technical safety principles for LWR type reactors are put into practice. The procedure for risk studies and results of the German risk study are dealt with. The NUREG-1150 report indicates the risk assessments. The safety and risks of LMFBR type reactors and HTGR type reactors are described. A precis of the effect of ionizing radiation on human health concludes the report. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Die Umsetzung der Prinzipien der Sicherheitstechnik von LWR wird anhand einer Konvoi-Anlage erlaeutert. Die Vorgehensweise bei Risikostudien und Ergebnisse der Deutschen Risikostudie werden behandelt. Der Bericht NUREG-1150 gibt den aktuellen Stand der Diskussion zur probabilistischen Risikobewertung an. Sicherheit und Risiken von SB und HTGR werden beschrieben. Ein Abriss der gesundheitlichen Wirkungen ionisierender Strahlung beschliesst den Bericht. (DG)
