Description
[Automatically extracted and translated] The safety concept of the high-temperature reactor is significantly influenced by the transfer of principles developed for other reactor types. Although an HTR-adequate safety philosophy is often demanded, it has only been realized in approaches. Only the experiences gained during the approval and construction of prototype plants, as well as research results obtained in the last decade on the safety properties of high-temperature reactors, now enable the conception of a plant that seeks to achieve a high safety level through HTR-appropriate design of safety-relevant components. This leads to significant simplifications and thus to cost reductions, without having to accept significant compromises on the usual HTR safety standard.
Abstract (German)
Files
