Higgs boson pair production in the effective-W approximation

Description
We calculate Higgs boson pair production from W-boson fusion both exactly and using the effective-W approximation. We find excellent agreement between the two approaches for mH > MW. We also find that the amplitude for Higgs boson pair production from longitudinal W bosons may be approximated by using the Goldstone-boson equivalence theorem. (orig.)
