The 10th United States National Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation was held in June, 1997 in Ithaca, New York. These proceedings represent papers presented at this conference. As a national meeting, it serves as a venue for all light sources in the United States to discuss the latest, most advanced capabilities in the fields of X-ray and vacuum ultraviolet synchrotron radiation. Topics for this year's meeting included synchrotron facilities; insertion device, laser excited and other sources; beam stabilization, beamline hardware and control; making and imaging microstructures; in-situ measurements and materials characterization; and detectors There are 61 papers compiled in these proceedings, out of these, 37 have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database
