Effect of nickel on electrical, photoelectric and luminescent properties of cadmium sulfide
Description
An investigation is made of the effect of nickel impurities on dark conductivity, its temperature dependence, photoconductivity and luminescence of CdS monocrystals in a wide concentration range on a large number of samples (more than 70). Experimental results were analysed by mathematical statistical methods. It is shown that at concentrations of Ni>5x1017 cm-3 this impurity causes essential changes in the dark conductivity and the photosensitivity of the sample; it enters as an isolated defect and also forms and effective recombination channel
