Rescattering effect on appearance of polarization during electron-molecule scattering
Creators
Description
Rescattering (double intramolecular scattering) effect on the general picture of spin polarization in electron-molecule collisions was evaluated. Two approaches of the multiple scattering theory-scattering on overlapping and on isolated centers - were used for this purpose. Formulae for contribution of double scattering to complete polarization were obtained. Numerical calculations show that this contribution in all considered cases is equal to the value of the order of one percent, that is intramolecular scattering depolarizes the incident electron
