Reactor core spray device

Description

Purpose: To spray coolants stably in an amount well satisfying a predetermined flow rate to fuel assemblies to be cooled with respective nozzles. Constitution: Nozzles situated in adjacent with the connected portion between a lower reactor core spray sparger main body and a reactor core spray pipeway is connected to the upper inner circumference of the lower reactor core spray sparger main body such that they are not extended horizontally beyond the inner of the outer circumference of the lower reactor core spray sparger main body, whereby all of the nozzles can provide predetermined flow rates of coolants with no effects from the shed portion of the coolant stream generated near the connected portion and the vortex cores resulted in the lower reactor core spray sparger main body. Accordingly, the reliability and the safety can be improved. (Yoshihara, H.)
