Description
Measured data are presented for the leakage radiation from a 100 kVp diagnostic X-ray tube assembly operating at little changed current at 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, and 50 kVp. Results showed that when the tube voltage decreased from 100 kVp to 70 kVp, the leakage radiation was reduced from its maximum to 13.5%. The authors suggest that the leakage radiation of X-ray tube assembly (200 mA, 100 kVp X-ray equipment) can be measured for continuous operation at 70 kVp 3 mA, the reference limit thus obtained being about 13.5% of 100 mR/h
