Thermomagnetic analysis of the Co100-xBx metallic glasses

  • 1. Physics Dept., B.Z. Univ., Multan (Pakistan)

Description

Co100-xBx alloys can be easily melt-quenched into the glassy state over a wide concentration rnage, i.e. 17 < x ≤ 30. Only a few investigations regarding the crystallization behaviour of some of these Co-B glassy alloys (hereafter called Co-B metallic glasses) have appeared, a comprehensive study is still missing. Since Co-B alloys, because of their remarkable magnetic properties, are of great technological importance in the electro-industry, a comprehensive study of the crystallization behaviour of these metallic glasses by the thermomagnetic analysis method is of immediate interest.
