Comparison between folding model and optical model potentials in deuteron elastic scattering at 56 MeV

Creators

  • 1. Research Center for Nuclear Physics, Osaka Univ., Ibaraki, Osaka 567

Description

The elastic scattering data of 56 MeV polarized deuterons, σ, A/sub y/, A/sub xx/, and A/sub xz/, have been analyzed in terms of the optical model including a T/sub R/-type tensor potential. A complex T/sub R/ potential was necessary to explain the magnitude of A/sub xz/ and the quantity X/sub 2/ = (2A/sub xx/+A/sub yy/)√3 for all nuclei studied. The potentials obtained are compared with the folding model predictions
