Natural gas: strategies of the gas industry to cut down CO2 emissions
Creators
Description
Following a short glance at the substances causing the anthropogenous greenhouse effect, the principles of four strategies for cutting down CO2 emissions are discussed, all of which involve the gas industry as an active player: 1. Energy conservation through reduced useful energy requirement; 2. Substitution of low-carbon fuels for high-carbon ones; 3. Energy conservation through increased efficiency, and 4. Use of non-carbon and renewable energy sources. (UA)
Abstract (German)
1. Energieeinsparung durch Herabsetzung des Nutzenergiebedarfs, 2. Substitution kohlenstoffreicher durch kohlenstoffarme Brennstoffe, 3. Energieeinsparung durch Erhoehung der Nutzungsgrade und 4. Nutzung Kohlenstoffreier und regenerativer Energiequellen. (UA)Additional details
