Deformation and fracture of CeO2 stabilized zirconium dioxide ceramics. 1. Strength and deformability
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev (Ukraine). Inst. Problem Prochnosti
Description
Zirconium dioxide base ceramics stabilized with 9 % CeO2 was studied for its mechanical properties depending on grain size within the range of 1.4 to 3.0 μm. In the ceramics under mechanical loading avalanche-like forming zones of phase transformations were observed. Correlations are established between specific features of deformation, acoustic emission parameters and grain size. 8 refs.; 5 figs.; 3 tabs
