Manipulation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals labelled with short-living isotopes (mainly 99m-Tc) is customary in modern diagnostic Nuclear Medicine. This practice, while as during better imaging with no harm to the patient, might expose the N.M. professionals to consistent absorbed doses, because of the considerable activities involved; moreover, large quantities of 131-I are routinely used radiometabolic therapy.
