Use of extraction chromatography technique in transuranium elements separation
- 1. Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares (IPEN), Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil)
Description
Extraction chromatography has been widely applied for the separation of uranium and transuranium elements in a radioactive waste. This technique combines the specificity of extraction with the ease operation of an ion exchange column. In this work separation processes for the actinides elements are reviewed and the results of some chromatography material tests are presented. (author). 36 refs, 4 tabs
