Description
Decays of over forty short-lived (T1/2 from ∼ 50 ns to 70 μs) isomeric states, including a new 66mAs produced in the quasi-fragmentation of a 112Sn beam in a natNi target, were observed at the final focus of the LISE3 spectrometer at Ganil. Their detection, based on the slow (∼ 10 μs) time correlation of the implanted product with the characteristics γ-radiation, represents a novel, unambiguous isotope identification method for projectile fragment separator experiments. Measured intensities of the isomeric beams and the ratio of the isomeric yield to the total production are given. (author)
