LINDA: A computer code for calculating activation and non-elastic displacement damage in iron under irradiation with protons and alpha particles

In this report the computer program LINDA (Light Ion-induced Non-elastic Damage and Activation) is introduced. This code can be used for calculations of activation and non-elastic displacement damage in pure iron under proton and alpha particle irradiation. The parameters applied are tailored to light ion irradiations as they appeared at the DUAL-Beam facility of the Forschungszentrums Karlsruhe. LINDA calculates with input of the the experimental conditions (type of projectile, primary projectile energy, beam current, etc..) the nuclide specific activity (Bq), the nuclide specific gamma dose rate (Sv) and the non-elastic displacement damage (DPA-rate) and produces the results as tables. An important part of this report is the description of the handling of the program, the description of the input and output files. This information is especially valuable for the users, since it leads to a simple applicability and supports at the same time the probability on other user platforms. (orig.)
