Quark fragmentation in e+e- jets

Description

General features of jets produced in e+e--> hadrons are presented for c.m. energies between 14 and 34 GeV. These jets are believed to result predominantly from the fragmentation of quarks. The data are based on 27 000 events observed in the TASSO detector. Multiplicity distributions and correlations, particle spectra and the longitudinal and transverse particle distribution with respect to the jet axis are discussed. (orig.)
