Instability of a nonljnearly pulsating model of a stellar system

  • 1. Tashkentskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

The stability of a nonequilibrium configuration in form of the Camm's nonlinearly spherical model relative to the surface type of perturbations is studied. The derived total dispersion relation for the m=1 and m=2 harmonics coincides with the case of the Einstein's sphere while the meaning of the critical amplitude for a barlike perturbation is identical in the Cammo and Einstein models. However, the instability in the nonequilibrium model begins here, if Wsub(r) >= 2Wsub(perpendicular), where Wsub(r) and Wsub(perpendicular) are radial and transversal components of the stellar motion energy
