Description

We have optimized the fabrication of BiPbSrCaCuO (2223) ceramic pellets by magnetic pulsed compaction combined with hot pressing. It was found that three 'compaction-thermal treatment' cycles followed by 30 MPa hot uniaxial stress at 855 deg. C led to a 3.2 kA cm-2 critical current density maximum at 77 K in zero magnetic field. (author)
