Cellular effects of the poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibition associated to anti-tumoral agents and ionizing radiations
Description
A new molecule allowing the inhibition of the PARP has been studied: the PHEN an iso-quinoline derivative. On tumoral cells in culture, this molecule potentiates the anti-proliferative effects of some anti-tumoral agent commonly used. Used on splenic murine lymphocytes, the PHEN potentiates also the ionizing radiation effects. These results showed the immuno-suppressive effects of the PEHN resulting from the PARP inhibition. The author showed then the PHEN possibility to modulate some aspects of the ionizing radiation response as the proliferation, the cell cycle and the apoptosis start. (A.L.B.)
