Digital fluorimeter
Description
The specifications of a digital fluorimeter. That with adequated analytical techniques permits to determine trace amounts of fluorescents materials in samples, are described. The fluorimeter is of the reflection type, and uses fluorescents lamps for the excitation and an optical system which is connected to a photomultiplyer machine and permits the measurement of the light intensity. In the case of IEN (Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear) the equipment is used for to determine the uranium content in sample materials to be exported. The precision of the instrument is about + - 1% in the scale of 0.1 which is the normally one used in the current researchs. (E.G.)

Descreve-se o projeto de um fluorimetro digital, que aliado a tecnicas analiticas adequadas permite a determinacao da quantidade de tracos de materiais fluorescentes em amostras. O fluorimetro e do tipo de reflexao, utilizando lampadas fluorescentes para a excitacao e um sistema otico, que acoplado a uma fotomultiplicadora permite medir a intensidade da luz emitida. No caso do Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear o equipamento e utilizado para a determinacao da quantidade de uranio existente em amostra de materiais a serem exportados. A precisao do instrumento e de + - 1% na escala de 0,1 que e a normalmente utilizada nos trabalhos em curso. (Autor)Files
